Let's Work Together

Thank you for your interest in DEIB Parent and Caregivers Action Network! We appreciate your willingness to join our community of wonderful families eager to make Williamstown a place where equity is at the forefront and our kids grow to be better, kinder human beings.

We work through active committees or “small groups” and then share updates at quarterly meetings. Dates and meeting locations are shared via the DEIB PCAN email list, so please sign up! Let deibpcan@gmail.com know if you have interest in joining any of our small groups:

DEIB-PCAN Small Groups

1. Leadership:  Meet monthly to keep us coordinated -- plan meeting calendar and agendas, orienting new members, coordinate priorities/actions determined by group, update website and respond to DEIB PCAN email account.

2. Social Planning:  Helps to arrange social events for members of the network to build community, get to know one another, and have fun.

3. Inclusive Collections: Partner with school and town libraries to build relationships and help curate inclusive collections.

4. Bias Incident Support: Provide emotional support and care for families who experience bias in our schools and community. This may take the form of an ear to listen and vent, or assisting with ideas and advocacy at the school.

5. Williamstown Youth Center Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration with the WYC to create an inclusive community.

6. School Administration Collaboration: Coordinate with Superintendent’s office or other relevant school committees to attend meetings and advocate for DEIB-related priorities within the MGRSD.
